There's a Netflix special that came out a couple of years ago of Martin Short and Steve Martin and it's a rough watch. Steve Martin has lost a step and is probably just there so he can play banjo and Martin Short is his usual manic self, and gets some big laughs.

I still love this movie, nostalgia I guess. I think it would have been better though if Martin Short had been replaced by a coke addled Bill Murray or Kurt Russel playing his role from Captain Ron.
Oh hey, Captain Ron has Martian Short in it too.

I would pay stupid good money for a remake of The Thing with Kurt Russel playing his role as captain Ron.

I actually liked Memoirs of an Invisible Man, though not necessarily for Chevy Chase.

Martin Short is like the band Styx. Sometimes he does something nearly genius (Grand Illusion, Innerspace), and sometimes he just drops the ball (Cyclorama, Jiminy Glick as more than a very occasional SNL character). Also in the sense of getting slowly less interesting over time.
