OK..hither'due south the deal. Please DO Not use 2 Tbsp. of seasoned table salt in this recipe! This has to be a typo. Information technology's so salty y'all can't eat it. I made this recipe earlier & caught that mistake the last time, merely...this fourth dimension I was in a hurry & gauge what? Poured in the whole amount of seas. salt..oh,yuck! Realized what I did as soon as I poured it in. I didn't want to pitch the whole matter and then I tried adding a couple of peeled potatoes to it (supposed to absorb some of the saltiness...it didn't). I was talking to my sister & she suggested pouring all the broth out (just discard it) but not the meat, bacon or veggies & then rinsing all that off & starting over with more goop...it worked!! Only this time, I didn't use any common salt at all & cutting dorsum on the Worcestershire sauce by one/two. Perfect! It's a very good recipe if you don't spiral it upwards :)

This recipe makes a very good stroganoff but because of the extreme sodium and fat content I had to make a few simple adjustments. I used thin sliced round steak which tenderized nicely with the lengthy simmering, only 3 slices bacon and lowfat sour cream and only a little more than half the amount called for. To cut down on the salt, I used low salt beef broth and omitted the seasoned common salt alltogether...2 tablespoons is a HUGE amount! I substituted Mrs. Dash garlic and herb blend and added no additional table salt. And then..minor changes for health reasons and still this had EXCELLENT flavor. I only cook with fresh mushrooms so I used 8oz. of those. Cheers for posting...this truly was the best stroganoff I accept ever made. Family loved information technology!

Very adept. Did make some changes after reading reviews. Used sparse sliced round steak strips and tossed them in seasoned flour before browning. The flour at this point thickened the sauce beautifully later in the dish and eliminated the need for cornstarch. Completely left out the seasoning salt and tweaked the spices some, such as adding minced garlic and salt & fresh ground pepper to the bacon, celery and onions while cooking. Likewise added a little extra nuance of worcestershire sauce afterward calculation the fresh mushrooms. Served over egg noodles garnished with some shaved Parmesan Cheese with fresh green beans and seasoned tomato plant wedges. Made a very prissy dinner.

I am a guy who loves to cook and then I idea I would try this beef stroganoff recipe. It turned out great! My personal modifications worked PERFECTLY!. I used good round steak, threw the cutting up chunks in a plastic bag with seasoned flour and coated the meat well. Browned/cooked the meat until it was slightly crispy and the coating was nice and brownish. I used fresh "Royale" mushrooms (wonderful!), not canned, cut into modest pieces and sauteed separately from the meat. Same with the chopped up onions. Did NOT add (a)the bacon (too salty), (b)corn starch,(c)Worcestershire sauce, or (d)any salt. I used (ane)can of Campbell'southward mushroom soup with (2)cups of water instead of beef broth. Afterward all was ready, following the recipe I plant here for times and such, put it all together in a dutch oven and let it simmer. It was still very salty and then I added white wine (Chardonnay) until sense of taste evened out the saltiness. Stirred in the sour cream only earlier serving, once again to my own sense of taste. Offset evening'due south dinner I used egg noodles and served to dinner guests. They went basics! Loved it! Second night, used the leftover stroganoff over white rice for myself. Both times it was Splendid! I guarantee this recipe will please you and your friends.

This was the all-time beef stroganoff I've ever fabricated. I made two changes. First, I coated the beefiness stew cubes in flour earlier browning them. That eliminated the need for the cornstarch later on on. I also think the flour gives them a prissy crunchy, dark-brown blanket likewise. 2d, I left out the seasoning salt altogether. Didn't miss information technology at all. I think the beef broth has enough salt in it. This definitely is a full keeper!!
03/30/2007
OMG! This is and then good. I e'er go by the comments. The comments are what makes this site amend than any cookbook. I didn't use whatsoever salt, went easy on the bacon and celery, doubled the cornstarch, halved the worcestrieiuilsue(sp?), and used fresh mushrooms. The best ever! Plenty of season with no extra salt and I'm a salt-a-holic.

This is a good recipe with a great flavour. I used footing beefiness and that cut the cooking fourth dimension down to almost nothing. The salary is great - I have never had a stroganoff quite similar this. I'chiliad not sure that sauteing the mushrooms separately did anything for the recipe - at least the way that I made information technology. If using the stew meat, it probably would make a difference since you would be adding the mushrooms afterwards a lot of simmering.

My family loved this meal when I made it for them. My mom, who doesn't swallow big portions, asked for a second helping, and my granddaddy, who is a very picky eater, cleaned his plate. I didn't use bacon, merely, otherwise, followed the recipe to the alphabetic character. I hold with other reviewers that the sauce was a little runny, so next time I will add together more than cornstarch. In addition, I will apply less salt, as it was a little too salty for my liking. All in all, it was piece of cake to brand, and I will definitely be making it again. Information technology would be a great recipe to make for company, as you can start it well in accelerate.
09/05/2002
I made this for our 26th nuptials ceremony and it was a hitting for the whole family. I don't use vino in my cooking and I was glad to find a skillful stroganoff recipe that didn't include wine. I, like others, used much less seasoned salt and fresh mushrooms. Very tasty, the bacon gave it an unusual and nice added season. We volition make it once again!
12/xxx/2008
This was my recipe I submitted a few years agone..Just and then everyone knows the seasoning salt amount WAS a typo..I don't remember if I did it or maybe it just got posted wrong. So sorry for any ane who's dinner was ruined :(
07/14/2005
Very good! My hubby loved it. I merely used 1 tbs of seasoning salt instead of the recommended iii.. but seemed besides much. I volition probably use a scrap more corn starch side by side fourth dimension I make it as it was a little bit runny.
03/14/2011
Well, I made the recipe as listed - considering that's what I always practise the offset time fourth dimension around and didn't accept fourth dimension to read the reviews prior. Here are my thoughts - this was the almost excellent stroganoff I have ever eaten though information technology was extremely salty. I call up the seasoning table salt and the bacon added such a wonderful season that I call back that omitting them would alter the dish. Next time I will use low sodium beaf goop, cutting down on the seasoning salt and the amount of bacon but other than that, this recipe is bully as is and my family loved it (including my 3 very picky eating kids!).
01/12/2009
I liked, but family unit did not. They staTED TO seasonings and NOT the truthful flavor of stroganoff that we all love.
01/26/2010
I establish the flavor of this dish to be good. I liked the addition of salary and I substituted fresh mushrooms. Even so, I had difficulty getting the sauce to a desired consistency. I however felt that no thing what I did it was very thin. I volition endeavor to modify it adjacent time because the flavor really was good.
01/04/2011
This is a bully recipe but I did follow some of the other reviewers advice and cut way downward on the seasoning salt, omitted the bacon (though I might try it next fourth dimension), and added garlic, black pepper, and Mrs. Dash, and rolled the meat in flour before browning. I like the idea of not using cream of mushroom soup but also, by following some other reviewer, I tin do that as well. I will definitely exist making this again! Thanks for sharing!
04/23/2009
I made the recipe the way it was except for the seasoned salt, just because I didn't accept any so I substituted 1 tsp of my favorite garlic salt. I gotta tell you lot....ya know when yous keep eating even when your full........this is one of those recipes. It'southward now going to be i of my everyday cooking recipes. Thank you so much for notwithstanding some other, much better than average, budget stretcher. I dearest this site.
05/26/2010
this was actually good! After reading reviews, I decreased the salt to 1 tbs and used fresh mushrooms. I will make this once more just will also add together fresh garlic. Great recipe! I gave information technology 4 stars because I had to "tweak" it.
02/17/2005
WOW. This was the first time I made this dish and it turned out to be very good and a keeper. I made some adjustments due to the fact that I work till late and did non commencement cooking till 745pm. I used stew meat that i boiled for fifteen minutes (as i was puting abroad the groceries)information technology as well helped cut back on the cooking time. Then i browned the meat, set it aside. In the same pan i cooked the onion (did not have any celery) and added some garlic every bit well. once the onions were translucent i added the meat to it. Added 1/3 loving cup soy sauce, 1/4 loving cup masala blood-red cooking wine, i can beefiness goop, and i-1.v tablespoon of lemon pepper. It gave information technology a good zing. So I let the meat and the broth simmer for 20-25 minutes. in the mean time i boiled the pasta and sauted the mushrooms and had my dinner rolls baking. Once the pasta was done, i added the mushrooms to the meat sauce and added the cornstrach mix (ii-3 tbspn cornstrach with a picayune bit of h2o). Once the sauce was think enough I added the Lite sour cream (put a little more than what the recipe called for. Let the sauce simmer for x minutes. Served rigt after with a compression of blackness pepper on top. My boyfriend liked it very much and had two plates total. His verbal comment was "baby this sauce is perfect" and i still have left overs. I liked it very much and volition arrive again. Thank yous for the recipe.
04/25/2005
This was good merely with the amount of beef broth chosen for it was more like stroganoff soup. Very tasty but non the typical stroganoff. Quite flavorful. Might make again.
11/06/2011
Dear, Love, Honey this recipe!!!! My boyfriend is a picky eater... and a big hunter as well! Nosotros both prefer it with venison... It may exist with deer, or elk. Nonetheless delicious either style! :) I cut downward on the seasoning table salt (ALOT!) and use back strap or tenderloin... which people may recollect is strange, information technology cuts down on cooking fourth dimension and besides makes it pretty tasty... simply I also sympathize most people don't take that kind of meat to throw into stroganoff.. Information technology's still very tasty with venison steak as well!... I don't know if its a typo in the recipe, simply a teaspoon is just plenty! I also add fresh mushrooms and cut them in sixths (I dear my fungus ;) ) But this is one of our favorite dinners! Its super easy and makes enough for left overs! And ever a crowd pleaser!! I recommend information technology 100% :)
04/27/2011
I actually made this co-ordinate to the recipe...unusual for me:-) My only change was to use fresh mushrooms instead of canned, which may take caused the but trouble I had. The sauce was too thin, so perhaps the fresh mushrooms gave upward more liquid than canned would have? Either that or I should have used more cornstarch. At any charge per unit...easily correctable next time. Flavour was fantabulous & I will make information technology again. It was also a niggling on the banal side...but I did omit near of the seasoning common salt...and a few garlic cloves wouldn't hurt it. Overall, a proficient recipe.
06/17/2002
My 16 year old son made this recipe and it turned out really expert. I told him about the other comments nearly the table salt and so he didn't use as much. Also, nosotros used fresh mushrooms instead of canned . We will make this once more. We really enjoyed the repast.
02/14/2006
Great taste.....I concord with the others that it is a picayune too salty. Should have read the reviews before. I besides was SHOCKED at the fat content, and so I tried to slim it downwards a bit by using low fat ingredients and slicing an eye of round steak instead of using the stew meat. The gustation was the same. Just skinnier. :) Nifty recipe!
11/16/2010
This is a can't miss recipe! I forgot the bacon, misread what to do with the mushrooms and ended up putting them in with the onions and garlic. (I did add together garlic because we like information technology.) I too used a 1lb round steak sliced into strips because that was what I had. I did wait until merely earlier serving to add the sour cream though and my husbsnd loved it and and then did I! I besides breaded before browning, adding some of the spice into the flour. Perfect thickness of the sauce. Poured over egg noodles. i thing I almost forgot, I used beef boullion for the broth since I was out of beef broth.
eleven/11/2007
This was the all-time beef stroganoff I have ever made. My family unit really enjoyed it. I did however, utilise i/2 of the season table salt and a footling less bacon. I too used chopped garlic when I sauteed the onion, celery, and salary. I will definitely brand this over again. Thanks!
03/08/2005
this recipie call for way to much common salt.
02/21/2012
this is wonderful!!
04/18/2012
i skipped the celery, the seasoning, and the bacon. I wanted a basic beef stroganoff. Also you tin employ whatsoever noodles you want-to save money. This is a good starting time fourth dimension recipe for me. cheers. mode improve than box stuff.
02/17/2010
Piece of cake, tasty......
01/xviii/2010
I cut the meat a trivial thinner, dredged information technology in flour(and so no cornstarch) and only used 2 cans of broth. I used fresh mushrooms. OMG everything IS meliorate with BACON
09/09/2001
Excellent recipe, Since anybody said it was to salty I used low sodium and low fat goop, not-fat sour foam and 1 tsp seasoning salt. It turned out practiced. Non to salty, I did use all the bacon and I don't think it was to much...thanks for the great recipe. michelle
08/02/2006
Prepared this recipe last night and my family LOVED It! A dissimilar accept on beefiness stroganoff. A different method from the same mode I prepared it for 20 yrs. Highly recommend this one!
09/19/2010
I read many reviews before I made this so I knew non to add too much seasoning salt Yet, I didn't actually care for the recipe--information technology tastes too much of worcestershire sauce and is actually thin rather than flossy.
03/01/2005
Wasn't what I expected the sauce was very runny :( I even doubled the cornstarch like one of the reviews had mentioned. It really tasted better the adjacent day afterward I put the sauce over the noodles and let it sit overnight, like a tweaked beef and noodles. If I brand again, I volition add garlic and maybe only 4 oz of sour foam and MORE cornstarch to thicken. and ii cans of beef broth. In fact I idea it needed more common salt added to it and I am not a saltaholic! Volition endeavor again, it is always better second time around.
02/17/2003
This was the commencement time i e'er even ate stroganoff, and I liked it, every bit well as my hubby and his friends. However, information technology could accept definatly used some carrots, green beans, fifty-fifty potatoes...mmmmm! I followed the recipe exactly, omitting the salt, and found that the bacon took a long fourth dimension to cook. After simmering for the one 1/2 hrs, i removed the floating bacon pieces and discarded them...they didn't look to appetizing! But thank you for the recipe nosotros willl use it again!
06/27/2001
Leave out the seasoning salt. This is a very practiced recipe, only too salty. I will make it again...but get out out the salt.
07/24/2006
What a great recipe!! As other suggested, I cut back on the amount of salt my half and it was perfect. This is full of great flavour and everyone in my family enjoyed this. I volition definitely be making this again.
12/23/2006
This recipe was unlike than the 1 I usually apply for beefiness stronganoff. The sauce was a little thinner than I like but it made up for it in flavor (which my husband raved about). I did make a few changes - one. I left out the celery because I didn't desire to run to the shop, two. I used fresh mushrooms, three. I left out the seasoning common salt afterwards reading some reviews. It was plenty salty with the beefiness broth and the worchestershire sauce, 4. I used lowfat sour foam. It is a expert recipe and I'll be making it over again.
01/27/2002
It was neat. My whole family unit loved it. I recall it chosen for just a little bit too much seasoning salt though.
ten/09/2012
I honey this recipe and use it all the time. I substitute onion pulverisation and celery salt for the veggies and leave out the mushrooms. I also flour the stew meat before browning so I don't demand cornstarch. Thanks for this ane!
03/04/2007
This was wonderful! We loved it here, I used 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt as we rarely put salt on anything. I too used fresh mushrooms instead of canned, I loved the manner they tasted sauted and put in at the end they didn't get mushy!
05/24/2007
If I make this again I will flavor the beefiness with garlic powder and coat information technology with flour and then information technology isn't so runny. I used 1 tsp of salt and it was plenty.
03/24/2001
I establish that this recipie was way besides salty even after taking Paula'due south advice and cutting back on the salt. The broth adds enough table salt that no extra is needed. Otherwise a Peachy recipie!! I'm definately going to make it over again.
01/01/2003
Splendid. It is so rewarding to try cooking a new dish and have it turn out looking and tasting just similar you lot imagine it should. This recipe is very unproblematic to follow, and easily modified according to anyone's sense of taste, or what you do/don't have in the refrigerater.
08/01/2013
I've made this recipe several times, always with ground beef, which shortens the cooking fourth dimension significantly and makes information technology into a smashing weekday dinner. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE Practice Non use the stated corporeality of seasoning salt, as other reviewers accept mentioned! Simply salt to gustation. Otherwise, a good dish that'due south adept for leftovers, as well.
07/12/2006
That has to be a typo for the 2 tablespoons of Seasoning salt. Way too much table salt. No good at all.
12/28/2005
Very good! Did not take fourth dimension to simmer beef, then I prepared it with the onions and celery in the force per unit area cooker. Preparing beef this way required less beef stock besides. My family really enjoyed it!
x/27/2003
This recipe has great potential. But, I didn't read the reviews about reducing the corporeality of seasoned salt, and was very lamentable that I didn't. It was way also salty. Also, I would double the amount of egg noodles. A definite practise-over, even so.
x/23/2001
I've got picky boys that won't eat anything, but they love this recipe! I cut downwards the seasoning salt alot (to 2 tsp) and added some white pepper to give it a little zing.
08/11/2008
Whoa as me!!!! I was in such a hurry that I printed this recipe, but did not read the viewers comments......BEWARE!!!! DO NOT Add two TBS OF SEASONED SALT!!! My instincts were telling me it was too much, but alas I did not pay attention. It was nonetheless good, merely really salty. I also added fresh sliced mushrooms in the final 15 minutes of stewing and it was perfect. I added a little more sourcream and the next day when I warmed it up I had to add a little more water and cornstartch to thicken. I volition definitely make this again
03/05/2009
This was my first time making stroganoff and it was wonderful. We would add more sour cream, and less worchestershire. Thanks.
x/11/2004
This recipe is magnificent! My husband is NEVER one to eat leftovers - this recipe is eaten two nights in a row, and has supplanted his chicken cacciatore as his favorite "comfort food. These are the changes I adapted to it though: --I agree that the amount of common salt called for is ridiculous, so I cut it to just a dusting over the whole lot in step two, --added 1 extra stalk of celery, --cut the salary and Worcestershire called for by half, --added ii carrots (diced like the other vegetables), --used 1/2 box of the fresh white mushrooms rather than the canned. --I likewise, agree that equally is, the sauce is a fleck runny, and so I doubled the cornstarch/cold water mixture. --Oh, and for the beef goop, used the low sodium diverseness.
11/16/2013
I dear reading the reviews and taking great ideas from them. This is a meal that stands alone. JMVHO, simply I wouldn't change anything.
11/23/2004
WAY TO SALTY
01/31/2005
This was too salty. I even use low sodium beefiness broth. It was too thick and a fiddling darker then usual. I plant with the bacon and oil it was a little heavy and a picayune greasy. I will probably look for a different recipe in the future.
11/05/2007
This was yummy! I was a niggling hesitent considering of all the mixed reviews. It seems the biggest problem is with the salt simply I figured this was an easy set up and decided to hazard. I did leave out the salt entirely. I coated the meat in seasoned flour & simmered uncovered most of the time to reduce the liquid a little. I also added onion powder & pepper during simmering & to the final upshot. I noticed a thick film of grease on top and so I had to keep trying to scrape some of this off. I also only added a couple spoons of sour cream. I served over egg noodles that I coated lightly with melted butter and a shake of garlic powder. Kids actually enjoyed!!
ten/21/2001
I fabricated this on a campout and was a large hitting with 20 adults. I left out the salt as suggested by others and used less broth. I also used goop instead of water to gear up the corn starch.
08/04/2006
This comes out great everytime. I likewise serve it with mash potatoes instead of eggnoodles.
03/fourteen/2001
I establish this recipe to exist WAY Too SALTY!!!! Information technology was and so salty, that one-half of the family ended up feeding their plates to the dog. Did anyone else detect that this was the case? I think two tsp. of seasoning common salt would take been OK, not 2 TBL...
02/02/2009
I make this all the time (once a month...). Nosotros love it. I omit the season salt and cut back on the worchestershire sauce though. The amounts caled for in the recipe make information technology besides salty for my taset. Fantastic recipe otherwise. I apply the leftovers like creamed chipped beef and serve them the next day over toast.
04/15/2008
I didn't use any of the table salt chosen for in this recipe. I used one-half low table salt beef goop and one-half sherry. Threw in my usual garlic and onion powders and because I felt it was too liquidy, I added a tin of low salt cream of mushroom soup. Fresh mushrooms and the leftover skirt steak I had worked well. Cheers Karena.
04/26/2015
love information technology when nosotros make it though i wld omit the bacon dowsnt really add anything
09/19/2016
Fashion besides salty
02/05/2001
Very adept recipe. My picky 10 year onetime had 3 helpings.
01/thirty/2007
WONDERFUL ... My husband yummed on the first taste and and then ate likewise much of it and still yummed on the last flake!! .... very nice!! .. i didnt use any seasoned table salt .. simply salted to taste !! .. and i used 8oz fresh mushrooms!! ... volition definitely be making over again!!
03/25/2003
Absolutely wonderful. Hot, flossy, and very filling. I made this for my beau'due south family unit (his mom, 2 daughters, and best friend) and all of them loved it. Now, they enquire me to make it a lot. Great recipe!
06/16/2004
This recipe got mixed results. I thought information technology was ok. My 17 and vii year-olds wouldn't eat information technology. My 4 year old ate hers, and the 17 and seven year-olds, so I split the difference on the rating. I'm non certain that it'south fair to the recipe though. I can't say that I'd change annihilation, it was tasty but I also don't call up I'll make it again because of the picky eaters
03/01/2008
I was disappointed in this recipe. I guess I really didn't like the bacon flavor.
01/xx/2005
This recipe is the best!! I get great comments whenever I make is, is WELL worth the piddling actress fourth dimension!! Thanks!!
07/xvi/2001
This was excellent! I had to make a few modifications of my own, though. I put in a little less bacon because the ane/2 pound overpowered the taste a scrap. I also felt it was missing something (spice), then I added a trivial black pepper & some parsley. Neat recipe! My neice loved it.
11/30/2016
Didn't add together seasoning table salt the 2d time around - much meliorate!
04/07/2003
I cooked this for my family one nighttime. Information technology was really good, if it was a little thicker it would take been perfect. merely got great raves from the family unit!
xi/06/2006
too salty, good though....
10/06/2016
It'south very runny, but delicious.
08/12/2008
im only giving this 4 stars considering of all of the changes anybody had to make. i had to nigh double the cornstarch, didnt add whatever salt, only used 3 slices of bacon. i also thinly sliced round steak(was what i had on hand) and seasoned it with a ton of paprika, fresh cracked pepper, dry mustard, and some garlic pulverization before browning it. I used sliced fresh mushrooms and sauted them with the onions. I served this on top of homemade egg noodles and oven roasted brussel sprouts on the side. next time will decrease the goop amount by half and use the cornstarch as written in recipe
07/25/2004
Good stuff, gets runny afterwards adding the sour foam.
04/05/2005
Good but way besides salty and I am a saltaholic
02/07/2021
This recipe turned out quite well. I volition certainly brand it again.
01/17/2021
This was a hit with my family unit! The only things I did unlike was using real mushrooms, portobellos, cause I needed to apply them up, and used no bacon, as information technology was all in the freezer. Oops. I volition definitely use this again. Very filling!
03/13/2006
Not sure what happened, but it took much longer than I expected and didn't taste all that great.
11/23/2004
This was a smashing recipe, my whole family loved it! Takes a while to make but well worth the effort!
11/17/2008
I found that 3 cans of beefiness broth was to much, I used 2 and probably xi/2 would have been enough. I too did not accept any worchestire sauce on hand, so instead of cornstarch to thick the sauce I used a bundle of dark-brown gravy. Information technology was still a petty thin and so next fourth dimension I'll add 2 packets of gravy. Overall very good I like a lot of sourcream in mine so I added additional to my individual serving. DF who does not like sourcream said that it was good even with it.
02/04/2018
Used 2 c. unsalted goop and 2 c. regular. Seemed like as well much liquid. Coated meat in 1/4 c flour before starting and then after cooking an hr and a one-half I added 2 T cornstarch, then another after adding the sour cream, every bit it all the same was a chip thin. Afraid of information technology being too salty, I only added i/two tsp. seasoned common salt initially, then we added to taste later on the fact. I am guessing the way I did the broth maybe 2 tsp would be virtually correct. Definitely employ fresh mushrooms! I also added 1/2 tsp minced garlic and used only 2 pc. bacon. Both my married man and son liked this, and they are somewhat picky, so I guess this is a keeper. I will perhaps employ less broth and more cornstarch adjacent time to see if I tin can thicken it upward. Since nosotros accept extra "liquid" and not much meat left over, I volition make it get further by subbing some ground beef and perchance serve over rice, simply to alter it up a bit. I like idea of cooking bacon separately so you lot tin can bleed off grease- and so utilize less to cook onion and celery in.
04/22/2001
This was very unlike, simply very, very proficient. I volition definitely make this once again.
02/27/2007
This recipe is awsome.. even my picky eaters liked information technology!
05/31/2001
My married man went on and on and on about this meal. He loved information technology so much that he said that he thought nigh it the adjacent day at piece of work and couldn't look to get home and eat the leftovers. I used beef broth with onions already in information technology and left out the seasoning salt and onions
12/30/2003
very tasty! I used leftover roast beefiness and it was much easier and reduced the cooking time (in improver to recreating leftovers!)I converted the recipe to 4 servings. I substituted one can of beef broth for low sodium beef broth and it was all the same plenty salty. I also used lowfat sourcream and it was still delicious.
04/21/2007
very adept, didn't use the seasoned table salt or any salt and used fresh mushrooms a keeper for certain.
ten/13/2005
alittle bland going to add somemore spices next fourth dimension but all in all a good recipe
05/26/2001
Call up to remove extra grease and do not add more than salt, the beacon has a alot of salt.
01/18/2004
This recipe was like shooting fish in a barrel to make but I would cutting back on the salt. extremely salty
01/29/2004
I was hesitant to try this because I have had a lot of bad beef stroganoff but this was peachy. I did halve the amount of seasoning salt and it was still plenty salty. I may just omit the seasoning salt next fourth dimension. I used 10 oz cans of soup instead of 14 oz and reduced the simmer time to 45 minutes and it came out perfect!

This is a recipe that I make afterwards a long day at work. Flavorful, easy and quick! I always salt to taste in recipes (unless its bread)and I never had a problem with salt levels. Fresh mushrooms instead of canned were perfect! It makes a lot of food...but I've never had better leftovers!!!

Very tasty. Simply a few changes. Skipped oil and sautéed onions and celery in bacon grease. Used 2Tabls butter to brown beef. Used ricotta instead of sour cream. It was delicious

This recipe was okay. The sauce was as well runny simply the beef came out really tender. I might try information technology once more simply I'd have to tweak it to get a thicker sauce.
